@nosTEAM ohhh alright. thanks for the info. That's a relief. I thought it messed up my whole steam so I thought I had to reinstall it. When I'm installing this update and it asks me if I accept the registry, can I just skip that step?

I do not recommend this torrent one bit. As soon as it was completed installing, a screen opened that would not allow me to close it or switch to another open window. It claimed to be the FBI having locked down my computer on suspicion of illegal activity, though legal action could be stopped with one easy payment of $200.
I quickly restarted in safe mode and performed a system restore. My fault for not employing better anti-malware software. Still, don't download this shit.

yeah actually, I did go and get another torrent to have that vanilla feeling of the game instead of a America Online group feeling to it.
no offense but plastering your group name over everything when starting the game, is a pretty noobish move knowing you didnt even crack this :p

My new computer came with windows 8, and I got the skidrow version of the crack to work (found updated windows 8 crack). If I use this cumulative update it regresses to the previous problem I had before, which was every time I tried to launch the game, nothing happened. No messages, no errors, it just thinks for a sec, then nothing happens. For now I'm just playing the non-updated version. Would really appreciate some advice.
@reinku: The "FBI Moneypack" trojan/malware/whatever is the result of surfing web-sites with compromised ads. Cleaning up after it is as simple as shutting down any rundll32.exe processes (IIRC) and then deleting any and all .exe, .dll, and just to be safe .sys files from your usersprofileappdatalocaltemp folder and then deleting the startup link it created either in your registry or startup folder.
It's not the fault of this download and a system restore point was either overkill or useless if not both.

So, Ive installed, and reinstalled this file multiple times to different places because it says it cant find it, i looked further into it and i think im missing the nvtt.dll file.... how do i fix this?
Not to sound Noobish but this has all updates? I'm trying to play online with tungle(1st game I"ve ever tried it with) Because Borderlands is defiantly a online oriented game, better played with strangers from across the land. and @all the "your name" comments, if you don't like it learn how to do it yourself and take no credit for it when you want.
